The day had been a bit stormy in the morning, but cleared in the afternoon.
That is the way it is in Ireland. A storm can move in and move out in a matter
of hours.

When I reached this spot, I parked and got out to stretch my legs. I looked
over Dingle Bay and suddenly I felt connected. I breathed in the sea air and
felt the sun that was breaking in and out of the clouds. The sound of the
waves on the beach really was wonderful. I looked at the sky, the sea and the
distant land and knew I had to make an image of this place.

There are times when I take out my tripod to make such images. But
somehow that day I wanted to hand hold, to have complete freedom,
unencumbered by a solid base. I wanted to be fluid in my movements, as fluid
as the waves before me.

When I look at the images I made at this place, I can feel the wind and smell
the sea. The image takes me back, unlocks the memory for me to relive that
time on the beach.
